One of the most widely practiced unit operation across the chemical industry, is Nitration and Nitric-Sulfuric acid (mixed acids) continues to be most widely used practical nitrating agent. But because of the strongly oxidizing nature of the system, coupled with serious environmental problems caused by spent acid disposal, the Industry has an increasing need to apply safer, competitive and environment friendly, selective reagents and methods.

We offer Green R&D for Nitration, to our to customers who use conventional nitration technology using mix acids and are interested in exploring a new technology which is safe, economically viable and environment friendly.

In our R&D process, we evaluate our customer need; develop a customized Newreka Nitration Technology (NNT), which includes customized process and customized Proprietary Catalytic Formulation. We then scale-up the process, and demonstrate a commercially viable technology at the plant.

The Technology

Newreka Nitration Technology (NNT) involves a heterogeneous catalyst due to which nitration can be carried out, using only Nitric Acid, thus eliminating the use Sulphuric Acid.
